September 7: Vino, Vidi, Vici

Join us September 7 at 6PM at Capofitto (233 Chestnut St) for some amazing Italian rosé and delicious Italian food.

Central Italy recently experienced a strong earthquake resulting in 247 fatalities — with much of the devastation occurring in and around the towns of Amatrice. Unfortunately Amatrice has been cut off from some of the much needed earthquake relief due to road and bridge damage.
To help raise funds to support relief efforts in this area, Stephanie Reitano, Capofitto Owner + Artisan, has curated a special menu of rosés and food inspired by the regions affected by the tragedy — including an Amatriciana pizza – red onion, San Marzano tomatoes, 1732 Meats guanciale — $19, traditionally served as a pasta originating from the Amatrice region. Proceeds from all rosé and food purchases will go to the agencies providing relief in these areas.

Lagrein Kretzer Rosato

Biodynamic. Another light red/rose. Very special. Fresh strawberry, fine tannins.

Grangnano
Cantine Federiciane 2013 Napoli. Blend of Piedirosso, Sciascinoso + Aglianico
Slightly fizzy red served chilled. Dry, but zesty with a touch of sweetness + a smoky finish. Traditional red effervescent red wine for pizza in Napoli.
